Group tennis fitness · Tampa

Cardio tennis in Tampa,
full throttle.

A fast, music-driven group workout on a tennis court — nonstop rallies, footwork, and games that leave you sweating and smiling. No experience needed, no standing in line.

What it is

A real workout that happens to be tennis.

Cardio tennis is a real workout that happens to be the best hour of your week. Every session opens with 15 to 20 minutes of drilling — a warm-up that doubles as proper technical work. Each session has a theme and goes after one part of the game: transitions and volleys one night, serve and return the next, so you always leave having sharpened something specific.

Then the drilling stops and the games start. King of the Court, 105 Doubles, Bump, Offense–Defense, Charge, Redline, Clockwork, Challenger and plenty more — fast, competitive doubles formats where every player is on court for every point. Music on, score kept, six players max. That is the part people come back for.

Everyone plays at their own level. Whether you last held a racquet years ago or you're on court every week, the drills scale to you — and because groups cap at six, you get real reps and real attention.

The hour

How a session runs.

01

Warm up

Dynamic movement and easy rallies to get the body going and the group loose.

02

Feeds & drills

Fast-fed patterns — forehands, backhands, volleys, movement — with almost no waiting.

03

Live play

Points, mini-games, and rotations that put the drills to work and get competitive.

04

Cool down

Stretch it out, catch your breath, and hang for a minute — the social part.

Watch

This is the pace.

Twenty seconds of a real session — constant feeds, constant movement, nobody standing around. If it looks fast, that's the point. It scales to your level the moment you step on court.

Levels

Two tracks, so you're always matched.

Not sure where you fit? Most people who can already rally are fine in the Beginner / Intermediate track — start there, and we'll move you up the moment it feels too easy.

Beginner / Intermediate · NTRP 1.5–3.0

New, or still building

Built for people just getting into tennis or coming back after a long break. We keep the feeds friendly, the movement simple, and the energy high — you'll be rallying and sweating from day one.

Intermediate / Advanced · NTRP 3.0–4.5

You already play

Faster feeds, tighter patterns, and more live points. This track pushes your footwork, consistency, and fitness while keeping the game-based fun that makes cardio tennis worth showing up for.

Thursdays & Saturdays · most competitive

The Cardio Challenge.

Our most competitive session. Thirty minutes of technical drilling to sharpen your game, then a full hour of live games — king of the court, 105 double, offense-defense, bump, and more. Ninety minutes, four to six players, and everyone's on the court the whole time.

Good to know

Cardio tennis questions.

Is cardio tennis a workout or a tennis lesson?
Both, leaning workout. You'll move almost the whole hour — rallies, footwork, and live points — while a coach keeps the pace up. You pick up real technique along the way, but the goal is sweat and fun, not a formal lesson.
Do I need to already play tennis?
No. Beginners are genuinely welcome — we run a separate beginner/intermediate track (NTRP 1.5–3.0) where the drills are built for people newer to the game. If you play regularly, the intermediate/advanced track (3.0–4.5) keeps it challenging.
How many people are in a session?
Sessions cap at six players, so you get plenty of reps and real attention from the coach. Spots are prepaid and go quickly.
Where in Tampa are the cardio tennis groups held?
Our tennis groups run on courts around Tampa — Downtown, South Tampa and New Tampa — with each session's location shown on the schedule. Groups stay small and capped, so everyone's moving the whole hour.
What should I bring?
A tennis racquet, court shoes, water, and energy. If you don't have a racquet yet, message us before your first session and we'll sort you out.
How much is a session and how do I book?
Group cardio tennis is $35 per player for a 60-minute session. Book right here on this page — pick a time on the schedule, reserve, and prepay to lock your spot.
What is the Cardio Challenge?
Our most competitive session, on Thursdays and Saturdays. Thirty minutes of technical drilling, then a full hour of live games — king of the court, 105, offense-defense, bump, and more. It runs 90 minutes with four to six players at NTRP 3.0–4.5, and everyone's on the court the whole time.
Do you run doubles sessions?
Yes — the Doubles Strategy clinic on Wednesdays. It’s a small group (three to four players) focused on positioning, poaching, serving patterns, and moving as a team. $45 per player. It lives on our group tennis page along with the monthly events.
